Dr. LaTasha Jones received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Religion from Spelman College, her Master of Education in Integrated Education from Cambridge College, and her Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Education/Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina.

As a master teacher, curriculum specialist, education research assistant, and university instructor, Dr. Jones has impacted the academic success of families and teachers for over a decade. She has received numerous awards and honors for her work with high-poverty families and first-generation college students.

Her passion for working with this population came from her own experiences with navigating the college process and as a Teach For America Atlanta charter corps teacher.
